Framing a Puzzle

Do-it-yourself Rating: Beginner

Puzzled about what to do with that 550 piece puzzle you so painstakingly put together piece by piece? It is a work of art so why not frame it.

We framed our puzzle in Neo-Florentine Amber - however you can choose from our vast selection of metal and wood frames.

Following our step-by-step instructions, you'll be able to attractively frame and display your completed picture puzzle.

Materials:
- 18 x 24 Neo-Florentine frame
- 18 x 24 Foam core mounting board
- 18 x 24 plexi-glass

You will also need:
- a regular screwdriver
- picture hanging wire

Let's Get Started!

STEP 1

Place the puzzle on mounting board.

Carefully slide your completed puzzle onto your cut foam core mounting board and set aside while preparing your plexi-glass and assembling your frame.

STEP 2

Prepare your plexi-glass.

Make sure the puzzle is completely flat and all the pieces are firmly in place. Peel off one side of the protective paper on the plexi-glass. Place the exposed side of the plexi-glass down on the puzzle. Peel off the remaining paper.

STEP 3

Assemble the frame.

Assemble three sides of the metal frame, (both sides and bottom). Insert the puzzle, including mounting board and plexi-glass, in the metal frame and attach the top portion of the frame.

STEP 4

Finishing touches.

Tighten the corner brackets and insert Spring Clips between the frame and the Mounting board to secure the puzzle. Attach the hanging hardware and wire.

Our SpringMate makes inserting spring clips quick and easy.
